Bees on a Branch

Hey! Hey! Hello!

I’m excited to be joining and hopping along this month with Waffle Flower in honor of their new release. Be sure to visit each stop in today’s blog hop to check out all the latest products, inspiration, and of course… prizes!

My Project

For today’s hop, I created this card featuring the Happy Bees Dies coupled with the Beehive Dies. They’re cut out using scraps from my cardstock drawer and shaded with with alcohol markers just a tad.

Although the card is a fairly simple design, it’s packs a fun punch with the cut-out exposing the ink blended sky over an embossed honeycomb design. Since there isn’t a stamp for this background, I created my own by die cutting some basic craft foam with the Outline Hexagons Die. Once cut out, I attached it to my stamp platform, applied embossing ink, stamped, heat set white embossing powder, and then blended oxide inks right on top. It worked like a charm!

Giveaways

For today’s hop, Waffle Flower is giving away a $25 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners. Winners will be chosen randomly from the comments left on this blog post and as well as others in the hop by 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, 9 May 2023.
